HPC sells former residential school in Shropshire

The former Rowden Hill School Shropshire has been acquired by a private investor in a sale handled by specialist care property consultant HPC.

The property occupies a rural location west of Shrewsbury and had previously been run by a corporate operator providing day and residential education for children with special educational needs. The two acre site included an original Victorian building, together with modern classroom and administration blocks, gardens and playing fields.

HPC Director, Ian Wilkie, who handled the sale commented ‘Rowden Hill had been operated as a school for many years and had only become available as part of a strategic restructuring of the group to provide more contemporary facilities elsewhere.’

He added ‘the property appealed to both providers of care & education and buyers looking for a development opportunity. In order to fully cover both markets we also engaged local agent McCartneys and I am pleased to confirm that the brief was fulfilled and that we were able to conclude a sale to a private investor.’
