HPC Announces Sale of Specialist Care Group

Sale of a group of registered care homes and supported living units in Gloucestershire, providing accommodation for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

HPC has confirmed the sale of the entire issued share capital in Access Housing Limited, which owns and operates subsidiary company Chosen Care Limited, a provider of residential care homes, and also Merry Den Care Limited, a provider of supported living accommodation. In total the group operated two registered care homes and 17 supported living units, providing accommodation for a total of 54 adults. The business has been acquired by National Care Group for an undisclosed sum.

Director of HPC Ian Wilkie commented, “We have worked with the Directors of Access Housing Limited for many years and we are delighted to have acted on their behalf in the sale of this business. Access Housing is a very professional organisation and respected provider, run by a highly experienced management team with a background of many years in the care sector. The business represents an excellent bolt on acquisition for National Care Group.”

Chosen Care Limited specialises in residential domiciliary care and supported living for a range of individual needs, including learning and physical disabilities and also mental health needs. Merry Den Care Limited provides specialist community care and supported living for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

HPC simultaneously negotiated the purchase of a number of freehold properties from a third-party landlord. Ian Wilkie added “We have many years’ experience in dealing with transactions in the specialist care sector and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to act in this sale.
