HPC is pleased to announce that outline planning permission has been approved by Herefordshire Council for the development of a new care home to replace Barons Cross Garage, Barons Cross Road, Leominster.
The consent relates to a site on the western side of Leominster in the area known as Barons Cross at the junction of the A44 and B4529. The site comprises a former motor garage and filling station, which currently supports a road haulage and vehicle repair business. The majority of the land is used for the storage of vehicles with a small range of buildings being found at the centre of the site.
The application was made in outline and sought permission for the demolition of the existing buildings on the site and the erection of an 84 bedroom care home in its place. The proposals will transform the 1.64-acre site into modern care accommodation, with en-suite wet rooms, welcoming communal spaces and facilities designed around residents’ comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
Planning was granted on 9th September 2026 – almost three years following application validation.
