Hot on the heels of the sale of Sandygate and Beeches (Wath-upon-Dearne), HPC have now announced the sale completion of sister home Highgrove in Mexborough, South Yorkshire.
Acting on behalf of both WH Estates and FRP Advisory, HPC secured a sale to Ladhar Healthcare amidst keen interest from a mix of regional and national corporate operators. The purchasers now operate 550 beds throughout Yorkshire and the North East with a further 5 sites (396 beds) being developed out. Nigel Newton Taylor, Director of HPC, commented ‘I think that this will prove an excellent acquisition for Ladhar Healthcare. With a keen focus on developing new homes, Highgrove was seen as an opportunity to acquire an established and successful facility offering a supportive cash flow to the group during the development and build up of sister homes’.
Highgrove historically comprised two adjacent purpose built care facilities, constructed during a period when planning restrictions were such that elderly care units in excess of 40 beds were not permitted. As planning policy relaxed the two homes were interconnected with minimal reconfiguration to provide a high quality 78 bed, purpose built nursing home with single en-suite bedroom accommodation throughout.
